The Community Action Poverty Simulation is a unique, interactive experience that helps individuals begin to understand what life is like with a shortage of money and an abundance of stress. It moves people to think about the harsh realities of poverty and to talk about how communities can address the problem collectively. Most importantly, it encourages people to make a difference.
Community Action Poverty Simulations are licensed by the Missouri Association for Community Action (MACA); the Ohio Association of Foodbanks is licensed by MACA to facilitate the poverty simulations.
The Ohio Association of Foodbanks partners with a variety of organizations to facilitate poverty simulations, including schools, for-profit companies, not-for-profit organizations, healthcare providers, government bodies, leadership groups, and much more.
